First held in 1823, the Royal Easter Show is now Australia's largest annual event, attracting over 900,000 people every year. The Show is a celebration of Australian culture, from our rural traditions to our modern day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. For generations, the Show has brought 'the country to the city', and it continues to be important, especially for children, in Sydney's cultural life. .

Every Easter Sydney's Olympic Park is filled with hours of family fun, carnival rides, plenty of non-stop free entertainment, array of shopping, over 14,000 animals on display, Australia's best produce and plenty more..... the whole family will love this event!

Royal Easter Show Sideshow Alley

You can admire the animals at the horse and cattle experiences, as well as seeing some of the horses in action at the Sydney Royal Horse Competition. Some 24 different horse breed classes will be competing, with everything from show jumping to rodeo and police horses. Don't miss the ShowTime FMX team who are performing again with showstopping, high-flying action and daredevil stunts!

Ever wanted to milk a cow, hold a duckling, pat a pig or feed a lamb? Cute and cuddly or big and beastly, animals are the star attraction of the Show. You can see more than 14,000 animals - some of which are uniquely Australian - compete for a prized Sydney Royal ribbon. The animal pavilions feature demonstrations and shows every day, and the Farmyard Nursery offers a unique opportunity to get up close to more than 800 Australian farm animals.

Stroll along the Animal Walk, and you'll see all the Sydney Royal award-winning animals and farmyard friends.

Royal Easter Show food

Grab a bite to eat and take a time out at one of the many kiosks, bars, restaurants or fast food joints at the Show. There's a festival of flavours and tongue-teasing taste sensations available, along with pavilions packed with fashion, home and lifestyle products, and plenty more.

Royal Easter Show carnival rides

This year the Royal Easter Show features Australia's largest carnival. For the youngsters, the Kids Carnival has plenty of family-friendly rides for the young and young-at-heart such as the Cup & Saucer, Super Slide, Rocking Tug, Mini Roller Coaster and Carousel.

Thrill-seekers can get their adrenaline racing on rides such as the Extreme, XXXL, Sling Shot and No Limit. Everbody loves the bumper to bumper action of the ever popular Dodgem Cars.

Royal Easter Show Fireworks

This Grand Parade is one event not to be missed. Watch as the best of the best in Australian agriculture make their way around Spotless Stadium in a spectacular procession. Stay for closing as the Sydney Royal Easter Show ignites the night sky with a stunning show of fireworks.

The annual Royal Easter Show is organised and managed by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. The Show celebrates the vital role that agriculture plays in the health and wealth of our nation and applauds the highest achievers in agricultural excellence.

First held in 1823, the Show is Australia's largest annual ticketed event. Revenue generated by it allows the RAS to invest in agricultural programs, competitions, education, youth and rural NSW.
